Editorial Guidelines & Disclosure Policy
These guidelines apply to all contributor submissions across our editorial content website (ECW) network.
Our goal is simple: publish clear, useful, experience-driven articles that respect the reader and stand the test of time. If you are considering pitching an article, please review these standards carefully.
Editorial Standards
All submissions must meet the following baseline requirements:
- Original content written specifically for our network
- Written for human readers, not search engines
- Clear structure with logical flow and headings
- Accurate, experience-based information
- Edited for clarity, tone, and readability
We may revise titles, headings, or wording to better serve readers. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Author Identity & Experience
We publish under real names or consistent professional bylines. Anonymous submissions are not accepted.
Formal credentials are not required, but contributors must have a believable reason for writing on the subject. This may come from professional experience, long-term personal involvement, or direct hands-on work.
Experience matters more than credentials.
AI-Assisted Writing Policy
We recognize that some contributors use AI tools as part of their writing process. AI assistance is permitted only under the following conditions:
- The article is substantially written, shaped, and reviewed by a human author
- The author remains fully responsible for accuracy, originality, and tone
- AI tools may be used for outlining, brainstorming, grammar checks, or clarity support
- AI-generated text may not replace firsthand experience or subject knowledge
Purely automated or lightly edited AI content is not accepted.
Disclosure Requirement (AI Use)
If AI tools were used in any part of the writing process, this must be disclosed at submission.
Example disclosures include:
- “This article was written with AI assistance and reviewed for accuracy and clarity by the author.”
- “AI tools were used for outlining and editing support only.”
Failure to disclose AI assistance may result in rejection or removal.
Link Policy
Links are reviewed editorially and reflect trust.
Generally acceptable:
- One branded or homepage link in the author bio
- Contextual links that genuinely support the article
- Citations to reputable, relevant sources
Not acceptable:
- Keyword-stuffed or manipulative anchor text
- Irrelevant commercial links
- Requests for guaranteed dofollow links
- Hidden, redirected, or deceptive linking
We reserve the right to apply nofollow or sponsored attributes when appropriate. Link attributes are not negotiated.
Promotional Content & Sponsorship
Articles whose primary purpose is promotion or link placement are not accepted.
If a contributor has a financial, professional, or promotional interest related to the content, it must be disclosed upfront. Sponsored or promotional submissions may be declined or handled separately at our discretion.
Editorial Control
By submitting a pitch or article, contributors agree that:
- Final editorial decisions rest with us
- Content may be edited for clarity, tone, or length
- Publication placement is not guaranteed
- Content may be declined at any stage
These standards protect the integrity of the network and the readers we serve.
Publication Placement
Approved articles may be published on any site within our editorial content website (ECW) network.
Placement is determined by topic relevance, audience fit, and editorial considerations. Contributors do not choose or request specific sites.
Once an article is published, contributors will be notified of the publication location.
A Final Note
We are building a long-term editorial network. Articles published here should still make sense months or years from now.
If your goal is to contribute thoughtful, experience-based writing, we’re glad you’re here.
